I'm thinking about buying a F430 spider and having looked tough the classsifieds I've come across these:
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/FERR... (I'm guessing It must have mega miles and that's why it's so cheap but It might be worth checking out)

I just have a few questions I was hoping someone would be able to help me with:
What should I look for spec wise?
Do they all have Rear parking sensors or was that an option?
Were heated seats standard?
Firstly would I be nuts not buying a red one? I like red but I'm thinking seeing as I'll be using it everyday I would like something a bit more subtle

Thanks for the help.

they dont all have rear parking sensors, mine doesnt. I havent missed them, i think the width is more of a drama with these than rear parking visibility. It is one wide car! Heated seats - mine are electric but not heated, both optional i think.

Spec wise the carbon driving zone is nice to have as the standard trim looks tacky plus the carbon steering wheel looks cool. Daytona seats look good if cream with the black inserts. Sports seats i found way too hard on a test drive in London.

As to colours, grey and black sell better than red in London i was told, i went for silver with bordeaux (see profile pic), rare and gets very positive reaction wherever it goes (dealers, other owners etc.)

As to pricing, seems to be very mileage dependent with most desirable sub 10k then a bigish drop >20k - not that the cars cant do the mileage its all just resale myth.
F1 was about a 7k premium in second hand prices when i bought mine 6 months ago

Think you will find that your pants will get pulled down at trade in time with a silver/bordeaux car the dealers don't like to give much for them (am speaking from experience had the same colour combo as you). I like the colour combination but the trade don't when it comes to trade in prices!

agreed - trade are allergic to anything apart from red and black or dark grey. Had the same thing with my TDF 355 spider, some dealers wouldnt bid due to colour - sold privately no problem though
