Hi Guys.
I currently have a very beautiful TVR Sagaris (see pics in profile) but am getting very itchy feet and looking at running down the Ferrari 360 spider route.

What I'd be after is a 360 spider with 30k-ish miles, with the manual box in either red or black, although I'd also consider silver if the resale for silver 360s is OK? Either way, my budget is about £45k.

Has anyone made the same leap before?

A couple of questions if I may please:
1. I read fuel comsumption is dreadful. I'm guessing not too much worse than my Sagaris?
2. If I get my 360 serviced through an inde, what price would I be paying for annual servicing as well as cambelt and clutch changes please?
3. Are there are any good inde's around the West Midlands (I'm north Birmingham).
4. Are there any buyers guides anywhere?
5. Are any of you guys local-ish to me and if so, would you be prepared to show me round your car to advise me what to look for? I'd be happy to let you have a play of the Sagaris in return.
6. where could I look other than PH or autoreader to find good examples for sale?

Many thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
Lee thumbup

I think EVO had a buyers guide in one of the recent issues... ?

As for MPG, it won't be much, if any, worse than your Sag. My T350 wasn't any better than my G.

Cheers - it is beautiful - even if I do say so myself...

Cheers - A few others have said exactly the same, but I have an itch that needs to be scratched. Perhaps if I actually drove a 360 first and see if it is for me? scratchchin

Tim over at http://www.walkersport.co.uk/ has a buying guide on his site, much more information than the evo article.

I've had TVR's in the past 2x Cerb and a Griff 500 and presently have a 360 for the weekends. Iv'e only had my car a few weeks so others will guide you better, but what i would say is that the 360 is very civilised, fuel consumption isn't outrageous and it does feel somewhat special and people seem to like Ferrari drivers for some strange reason.
I would say do it, as you say red or black first choice but other colours are ok and should come a bit cheaper. Be prepared to see a few rough ones and as is always said on this forum buy on condition and history rather than mileage.
Happy hunting.

Yep - we made the leap.

I loved the Sag cloud9 but dont regret the change.

If you do change - just be prepared for it to feel completely different.

If you want to know anything specific - just e-mail me.

Hi Harsh, Actually it was seeing your 360 at Supercar Sunday that planted the idea in my head hehe
38K not too miley for me - I'd soooner have a car that has been used on a regular basis rather than sat in a garage most of her life and had the nuts thrashed out of her at the weekend. Also after reading all the info that suggests that a great deal of 360's have been clocked, I know with 38k it's most likely genuine.

If our after a Sag, let me know hehe

There never was a Sag soft-top frown
There is a lamborghini orange Sag look-alike which is actually a Tamora in a party frock, the same guy who created it also recently made something that resembled a red Sag targa-top but from memory was actually based on a Tuscan. Either way, they looked great. Lastly, some great photo-shopped shots of a green Sag soft-top. They look pretty realistic, but it is a photoshop effort.

Thanks for the offer of a look around your car - I may well take you up on the offer. Its a shame I couldn't make the London tunnel run at the weekend. I believe you had a great time.
