Looking at buying a F430 spider I've narrowed it down to 2,

06 Black Manual and a TDF Blue F1.

The black car has:
Normal seats
Carbon trim
Sound system upgrade

The Blue car has
Daytona seats
Normal silver trim
F1 gearbox.

What one to go for? I know I should drive the F1 one but there isn't on to test drive at my nearest Ferrari garage and I don't particularly have time to do so anyway.

Which will be easier to sell on? I'm thinking the manual might be harder, but then because the 458 is not available in manual perhaps the F430 manuals will become a bit more sought after?

Please help, It is driving me nuts! I've been trying to make a decision for a week now and am not closer to choosing.

Thanks

But what about the condition/mileage of the cars, have you seen them both in the flesh?(might make a big difference).

Subject to condition, history, mileage and colour!

Black easier to sell, F1 is the preferred way to have a 430, Manuals can be hard to sell on, an F1 in black would be the best choice.

Is this why you were rushing home?? wink

Personally, I would go for the TDF F1, love the colour and the F1 is the business, in my opinion anyway.

My friend John just picked up his RC Coupe with F1, Im sure he would take you out and show you it anytime.

I would imagine the manual being constant work, especially with the quicker gears than a Lambo for instance.

If you want to see Johns, give me a shout anytime.

Drive them both,
It really is the only way you will know.

or if you cant, just buy the one that pops into your mind when you close your eyes and imagine it on your drive, thats the one you subconciously want,

Maybe he's been listening to Frank Sinatra vinyl and has got his quote the wrong way round?

Despite the F1 being less work, it is just as enjoyable if not more so in my opinion. I felt like an F1 driver in mine, fkn nuts and a complete licence loser, BE WARNED smile

I think you'd be crazy to make a decision without driving the F1, its an easy thing to use once you get used to it and fun but what if you decide that you don't like it. I personally would go for the F1 but you also need to drive that a bit differently to a manual (apart from the obvious of course) must go into neutral when stationery, in traffic you can't really keep crawling with it or you'll knacker the clutch you have to leave a gap & then go which would be a pain if you drive in a city alot.
