I know its a boring subject, but I have just used my mates site to arrange a service for my car, I was sceptical (to be honest I took the pizz biggrin) but it is worth a look, I think he will be a sponsor on here soon, so I hope the mods dont mind the link! Its worth subscribing even if you have no intention of using him coz you get a free rather good chamois just for signing up!

I have just registered too. I entered the details of the service I was after (Clutch and service) and all it did was show on the map the various dealers, no prices. I dont see the point of it. Am I missing somthing? The site says it has three levels of partner, Bronze, silver and gold, the only partner that gives a discount is the gold one. Of which they have two partners, one in Birmingham and one in Manchester. Cant see it being much use to me as I live on the south coast.

Peter - many thanks for registering - there are 7 prices appearing for an annual from £550+Vat (Gold) and they will collect, if you hit the 'More Info' button, you will note the Partner in question offers collection/delivery so even though you are on the South Coast, thats not a problem. I'd also add that we are adding new prices all the time - updates take a little while (chasing the dealers!) and sometimes partners offer POA as they may have a special hidden offer - so use your call back and request a few quotes

Ok, thanks, I am in the process of trying to establish the best place to take the car for a new (Uprated sintered) clutch and a service. It's not urgent yet, but would like to get it all done at the same time with minimum fuss and as unexpensive as possible probably in March. Surely though there would be a charge for collection and delivery would there not?

Not always - on the 'more info' button, the dealers state if collection/delivery is included in the price, so its worth using the Call Back to get them to do the work (get a couple of quotes)

Peter

Hi - Just to clear up a point about the POA - some partners choose not to publish their prices and whilst we encourage them to do so - some cannot- as not allowed,or other reasons, these may change in time...
Your chosen partner posting POA will give you a price bespoke to you, with your unique voucher code (quoted on your call back request)the partner will know you have come through us giving you the best price they can at time of request. You can of course request as many "Call Backs" as you wish to determine which partner is right for you. You just register your details once and your details are sent to the partner(s) you request information from, saving time explaining over and over again with various calls.

In the case of your request for a clutch and a service - I am sure most of our partners will include collection if they carry out both tasks. Ask at time of booking. Hope this has helped, so don't be deterred by the POA - you may be pleasantly surprised. wink
