Thanks for the kind comments guys. Tim and Benjamin (the detailers) did a great job, and I could not believe some of the things they pointed out that come ex-factory (like the holograms or swirl marks as some on here have noticed). These were not imperfections I have added to the car as I have been almost anal about how I clean it, and have not used any wax or polish myself anyway (so the holograms could not be down to me!).
For those of you with SVs, there are some eye openers even with the paint finish on the inside of the wheels - Benjamin showed me small (but noticeable if you run your fingers on the inside of the spokes) imperfections due to overspray. This can trap brake dust and road grit and help degrade the finish of the wheels over time so it is important to clean and then protect the wheels even the insides (well, it also means I will be buying some Swissvax products from them!). And if you look really closely under bright light at portions of the paint on the bodywork you can see evidence here and there of very small regular curved scratches in a line, where the factory have had to machine the bodywork when finalising painting. I was quite surprised to be honest in a car costing this much. Also the guys brought it home to me how careful you have to be cleaning the carbon (matt finished) areas of the car as these cannot be "paint corrected" should you put any swirl scratches in them

How did the bonnet get so scratched ?! Have you been cleaning it with a brillo pad?
Nothing like that - they are "holograms" of poorly applied polish (from the factory apparently)

Ah well, looks stunning now, congratulations on the car !
