Okay, this has been tormenting me all weekend:

http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/1194105.htm

2 questions...

1. Doesn't this look a bit cheap given the low mileage? Does anyone know the car?
2. Notwithstanding the fact that HWM has somewhat of a "reputation" (allegedly etc etc), if a detailed inspection came back okay, would there be any reason not to buy from them? e.g. crcensoredp warranty, dodgy presale car service

Cheers,

M

Its been for sale for ages - I asked about it on here about 6 months ago when I was looking but I don't think anyone actually knew the car. I think it was even cheaper then too.
Cheers,
Bryn.

I am pretty certain that car has been up for sale for over a year now. Sometimes it's that price, sometimes it's not got a price and at one point they reduced it to £29995! All this and it's still not sold, there must be a story, I know they have a suspect reputation but in all that time there must have been some enquries?!

Be very careful and you may end up with a good deal, I don't think it's cheap at the asking price but if you can get them down it might be. If the car checks out and you buy it but it still gives you grief. From what I have read and from what others have said who have actually dealt with them, I wouldn't expect them to stand by the car (this is pure speculation though so go into it with your eyes open).

Just a thought but I'm pretty sure that there are a couple of PHers thinking of selling very similar cars that will be well looked after and less money.

Avoid them like the plague! I have never dealt with such incompetent fools before in my life. Wish I had read up on their reputation before buying a car from them.

PM me if you want more details.

The car probably doesnt exist..but it gets you on the database so that they can match you to someone selling one privately..who they will then try to broker the car for...thats their business model
