So a bit of a problem

I have let the battery run down completely flat in the 599 - only took 8 days but cold weather I suppose

How do I get it open manually as electric release on key fob or on floor switch dead?

The manual which would explain all this is of course in the boot............

I recommend contacting your dealer, that isn't the sort of information that will be freely posted on here.. (although, someone may be kind enough to contact you directly..)

Don't really think it's top secret, anyone could find out from the manual so easily, it's just such a pain when it happens and everything's locked in ... remove the little coin tray in the centre console to reveal a small cord. Pulling should release the boot. That's where our's was anyway. Good luck ... hope that gets you going this sultry Sunday morning!

another ferrari in cr*p battery shocker. If its totally dead it may not charge back from trickle charger. If you need to charge it properly get a Ring smart charger (sell them in halfords etc for £50).

Out of interest what battery does the 599 use?

no idea where the battery is so dont know what type it is (its not under the bonnet anyway! - I did look)

Its my own fault - unplugged trckle charger that comes with it and slots into special plug in boot as wanted extension lead for something else then forgot to put it back

Halfords cig lighter jobs dont work in this or the other 2 Ferraris I had - presume something to do wi wiring as they all came with plug and tricklers
