I just get the feeling that this is going to be a BRILLIANT drivers car. Might be time Ferrari got a bloody nose.

"Everybody knows Ferrari; only real enthusiasts know McLaren, which I think puts you in a higher-echelon club. That’s not to say Ferraris are not impressive — they are — but you might buy a Ferrari for other reasons. You would buy a McLaren only if you were a real enthusiast."

Have always suspected JL is a bit anti-Ferrari (does he own one?)...and his bias is hard to hide.

Not a blinkered F-car man myself, but it remains to be seen whether the MP4 is better looking than the 458. Let alone a better ownership proposition (no matter how many futblers and "lower echelon" "non-enthusiasts" own them smile).

He had a massive run in with a Ferrari dealership and Ferrari NA
iirc basically the dealer said he would get an car (think it was a 550) then the market price rose so they told him to either pay a premium or he wont get the car. As a result he said he would never buy a Ferrari

I have 2 good UK friends who also will never ever buy a Ferrari because of the way UK dealers promised cars, took deposits and then never delivered.
I've never understood why Ferrari have failed to appreciate the way that they have alienated so many potential customers.

You would have thought they might have got a clue after they alienated an italian bloke back in the late fifties/early sixties, Ferruccio or something like that. It seems that the Enzo philosophy lives on.

That's a positive review from Jay. Can't wait for this car to come out... It weighs less than my RS60 but has twice the power!

I think it will put a spanner in the works of Ferrari, Lambo and Porsche.

I can't help thinking it looks a bit like this at the moment.

I am in a position to buy one next year but right now it doesn't look quite right, I prefer the AMG SLS or the Ferrari 458, not sure what the list price is of those though.

I am sure it will drive like nothing else saying that..

If he doesn't get production car number 1 I'm a Chinaman.

I know it's only a mule but I was surprised to see how much the seats moved around through the corners!

I do beleive this will be a great car would be happy to see it upset the Ferrari apple-cart a bit but it saddens me a little to see MCL wring-out even more promotional mileage from Jay Leno!

Come on Ron, give Rowan Atkinson a call for a change! smile

Apparently, Dunsfold is good because it’s got loads of different corners; it’s bumpy, fast, slow, with lots of changes of direction.
nono They just want to be sure it's quicker than the 458 round the "Top Gear Track"!! whistle

Yes it sounded like a Mule... Almost no body roll round the corners though!

Not quite in their league I shouldn't wonder, but I am also very unlikely to buy from a Ferrari main dealer after the way they handled my first F-car.

Trouble is, there are people who would queue to buy from them if they launched a dog turd on 4 wheels. So there's zero impetus to change.

That mule has an engine that was droped way back, and will be very differant to production intent!

Yes the car looks stunning in the flesh, much better that the pics and video suggest.

Most impressive part of that video was how impassive JL's face was no fear no nothing bit worrying to a degree but i suppose he has driven a lot scarier things than that.
