Hi,

mu understanding is that all MY06 gallardos have revised/ shorter gearing and slightly more HP. Also identified via the callisto rims like the SE.

IS that true? Also do all gallardo spyders have the SE upgrades? Thanks

Shorter gear ratios and more power were standard no cost options on the coupe and spyder.

Callisto wheels were available as a cost option on MY06 onwards.

Someone can confirm, but I think they sorted the clutch problems in MY06 too?

If an earlier car had clutch problems, then a D or E revision clutch would most likely have been fitted to remedy, so no issues on older cars either.

was the steering wheel changed on the MY07? I noticed the MY06 cars had the older steering wheel.

And back to the original question, all MY06 cars have the revised gearing?

All 2006 onwards cars had the gear ratios changed and slightly more power. The spyders were launched in 2006 so yes, all spyders had the upgrades.

Gorgeous sound, don't think there is any difference in noise at top end, as it only bypasses vacum at lower rev range.

Do you think you'll change it for the 560/570 SV when/if it comes out?

the valves open at c4k

nope, current plan is never to let the sl go, although if god's good it'll be joined by something with scissor doors in a few years time

My late 06 has the plain steering wheel, the one with silver lower section came afterwards - I assume 07MY.

It was an option, the crest on the wheel changed to a colour one as standard.
