Which is the best 355 driving experience?
Discussion
I want to book a 355 driving experience as it's the car I really want and I would like to drive one round a track to decide whether or not I'm going to push myself into getting one later this year.
I'd just like to know if anyone has done one, where it was, and what your views on the experience were?
Thanks,
Steve

I dont think you will get a fair assessment on one of them "Red Letter" type days. More likely than not it will be LHD, and also some companies dont allow you to rev out past a designated RPM set by them (usually low-mid). You really need to allow the engine to use the higher regions of the RPM range on these cars, to understand why they are legends.
IMO you would do better to try and hire an F355 from a company for a sunny day/weekend. And drive it on the road for the maximum genuine F355 experience, then make your decision.

Agree with both responses, red letter days or other are no way of experiencing a car. Ideal if its a birthday present for an 18yr old but otherwise dont bother.
Dont get me wrong, there are some great track days out there, JP at Bedford for example but if your sole aim to purchase one, why dont you go see a dealer. If they dont take you seriously, find one that does. If you really want to drive the nuts off one for a weekend, you best hire one for a day/weekend but lets face it, if you actually bought one, would you treat it with such little respect?

Thanks for the comments, did contemplate hire but when you're looking at 700 for a weekend on a 40k car the money would probably be better put towards the ferrari fund, as I call it.
I doubt very much that having driven one will do anything but make me want one even more, and from owners comments it seems that it is something I'll never regret.
Lets hope my bonus is good enough to boost the fund this year. I like the rosso nero spider at Rardleys but doubt it will be around for long enough!
Thanks again.
