Been spending some over-due time with the car over the xmas period. Lovely.

However ..... I've noticed that when I'm doing a sharp turn (just before full lock) there's a 'grinding' noise and it feels notchy as I turn. Anyone had this before? Any ideas?

Thanks all

Also ..... recently met Lynn from the Lambo UK Club so hoping to get along to some events and meeting a few of you soon

Hi

I've noticed exactly the same in mine when it's on full lock, I raised the question with the dealer after I bought it and apparently it was completely normal - I can't remember the mechanical reasoning - only that it was ok!

Cheers

I was told its normal by my dealer but once warmed up the grinding should go away.
It does on mine so ok I guess.

It really does judder does`nt it.The R8 seems to do this as well.but they reckon its normal too
so no worries.
Out of interest, any of you guys get the feeling the throttle hangs up slightly, like if you throttle off,the car still goes at the same speed, not much engine brake.
Could be an emissions thing, mrs had a cougar that was real bad,put some stp injector cleaner in the
tank never did it again after that tank full.
So the g got a bottle yesterdaybiggrin

are we talking here about the grinding noise from the diffs/transmission or the judder as four fat tyres are forced to slip ?

Don't worry about it. On full lock/close to full lock your front wheels are each trying to steer the car in a different direction & the noise/feeling is one of the tyres scrubbing sideways.

Regarding your accelerator issue I had mine in recently for service and they cleaned the throttle bodies. Drives like a different car. Noticebly different. Might be worth a try as not expensive to have done even at dealers. I hope this helps. PS the scrubbing is perfectly normal. Seems to get better when the tyres are warm and in the summer and worse in winter and when just setting off from cold so I guess the cold tyres scrubb more?
