360 Possible Clutch Issue !
Discussion
I have a problem with my 03, 360 manual and it is this. When I am giving it some beans and working up the box I struggle to select the next gear. This usually happens when going from 4 to 5th or 5th to 6th. I've changed the reverse selector bush as suggested on another thread and that made no difference so where next.
Strange thing is the clutch seems to have less feel when making these selections, almost as if it's sort of dissapearing into the floor, somehow softer. Then back down at normal lower revs and the car is perfect and drives without a hitch at all.
Any ideas?.
Cheers

Thanks for taking the time to find that unfortunately it was me who started it, and I'm still clueless.thanks anyway.

I suffered this too. In their infinite wisdom, Ferrari put the clutch hydraulics in the bell housing (built into the release bearing). This has about 10 seals in it that perish and let fluid past them. You typically need a new bearing and this is 11 hours labour plus the parts (which could include a clutch plate at the same time). I paid 1200 to have the issue fixed at QV but the next owner decided to have a bearing made by Hills engineering- not sure if he did this as a preventitive measure or because the clutch started playing up again.
Whatever you do, make sure its fixed as it gets progressively worse til you cannot select any gears and the clutch pedal sits on the floor becuase there is too much air in the hydraulic system. The reaction of passersby to a broken down Ferarri is fairly unique..

I recently had Verdi fit the Hill Engineering upgraded release bearing when fitting a new clutch (Old clutch had done 55.000 miles)Had the same problem, clutch pedal on the floor.
