Made up my mind a few months ago that I could bring myself to sell my race car if I replaced it with something equally nice. I kinda set my mind on a Gallardo and went off and looked at a few to check out the ratio of good/poor cars.
I have found a snag (apart from the ammount of poor cars), I'm 6'2" and my head rubs on the roof! If I move the seat forward and recline it, my legs get snarled up! There must be other tall Gallardo owners out there, are there any tweeks/alternative seats you owners might know about? Or have I just missed a trick with seat adjustment?
I tried a Murcielago and found it ok, but I don't think I can justify such an ott monster.
Any help/advice/tips?

andrew.

Have you tried the Spyder? I am 6'4" and cannot drive the coupe (went to check out 560-4 and could not use it) but am perfectly happy in Spyder with roof up or down. Drove 3000 miles round Europe last year in it with no problem. Smaller cabin than my previous 360 spider but nevertheless perfectly comfortable. Worth a go if you have not tried it. Plus the Superleggera with sports seats gives slightly more room.

I'm 6'4'' and it's fine for me. Left knee can be used to indicate (whether I want to or not) but otherwise, all good. Just fiddle with the seat a bit and you'll get there.

Cheers for the advice.
The picture is a bit clearer, at least I know it should possible to get a good driving position - but now you have sown the seed of a Superleggera damn you!
Seriously though I noticed on an American forum people were saying non-electric seats were lower and it's also possible to remove/adjust some seat padding?
Spyder is clearly an easy option (and the Gallardo is one of very few cars which actually looks as good as a convertable as a coupe - in my opinion) but I live too far north to consider one.
I'll go and check out Superleggera prices.
Do the forum rules allow poeple to suggest the good/honest/best "independent" dealers? (I could see problems with that)

Too far North!! I drve the Spyder with roof down in any conditions other than rain/snow. After all it has great heater plus heated seats. Great on a freezing (but dry) day with the roof down. BTW mine has full electric seats and as I said no problem with leg/headroom. I hope this helps. Go on you know it makes sense!!!

Have you really found alot of poor cars then ? Most for sale seem to be from traders and are traders really giving misleading information on theor adverts, I was kinda expecting with so few for sale, especially newer ones 06 - 07 that most would be mint.

I'm a big soft northerner - although 3 teenage daughters give me a hard time about a coupe rather than a spyder

Go for a yellow one like mine then at least they will give you respect up there as they will think you are a drugs barron!! Seriously try driving the Spyder as I am sure you will fit and your teenage daughters will love you forever if you ever collect them in it!

To be honest my expectations were probably a bit high. I had imagined if I was paying 60k+ for a car it would be faultless, but that's the low end of the Lamborghini market.
