4200 spyder coolant smell
Discussion
Hi everyone
Recently become the very proud owner of an 03 4200gt Spyder.
I only managed to complete the test drive and do the deal just before i flew off for a couple of weeks on business.
Will be coming back to the UK shortly to collect it.
Just a couple of questions though following the test drive
1, For the first couple of miles after the cold start there was a slight smell of coolant. Nothing overwhelming, and it went after a little while. Engine T+Ps all normal. Car pulls smoothly.
Seller says this is a known issue with 4200s , and he has never had to add coolant in the past 6000 miles. He suggested I check the forums for more info, but so far I haven't found any... Should I be worried about this?
2, The rear high level brake light does not work ( the others do) Is it a bulb or LED unit? And if the latter, might it just be a fuse?
Any and all help gratefully received!
Andy
