Didn't really know where to post this.

Whats the minimum age that most places do. Iv'e seen 30 and thought that was quite high.

Anyone know of any that are lower.

Thanks

There are some that can do 25, but you'll not be driving anything from the past 7 years or so.

How old are you? If you're 28+ it might be worth giving a few of the companies a call as they may be willing to speak to their insurers. It certainly worked for me when I was 27 but I was very lucky!

I'm 18 (with nearly 1 year driving, woo) but my dads 65 this year, don't laugh he's a legend!

Thought I might get one for him, because he would love it and so would I. While thinking about it i wonderd how long it would have to be before i can do it.

If your dads the one that will be doing the driving then I would have thought that they would be ok with any age of person paying for it.

I'd honestly be careful of the upper age limit as well! Not taking the piss or anything but I'm sure I've seen some maximum ages at 55, that may have been for trackday experiences though.

55 seems a bit low for an upper age limit. Nigel Mansell must be older than that and he's hardly decrepit.

Hired an aston for a weekend when I was 24 - only way I found possible was to pay for my own insurance and take a cover note which they confirmed with my insurance company. Cost me an extra £200 to do this.

Yeah it seems I was spouting crap on that! Looked on a few ones and it said max age 70. Dunno where I got 55 from!
