Has anyone bought a Balboni?
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Any ownership experiences? What would you think these are worth second hand and will they hold value? I am looking into buying one. The depreciation we are seeing on the super leggera is a bit worrying though.
I also heard that a lot of these have been exported to Europe?
Any comments would be great.
Cheers
Dave

I've not owned one but driven one and it is everything the Gallardo should have been IMO. Great to drive, really nice front end.
I suspect the residuals won't be that strong. There are quite a few for sale certainly in Europe and they have been sitting around. Not confirmed but I have heard good rumours that Lamborghini will introduce 2WD into their range as an option on the Gallardo later in 2010 (with a 2WD SV).

I bought Valentino Balboni (and others at our table) a pot of good tea and some excellent scones a few years back.
He liked to really load the cream on and balance the strawberry jam to the point where it was a bit hit-and-miss whether everything would make his mouth or hit the floor first...
He never spilled any though - being VB, how could he?
Is that what the OP meant??

Thanks guys. I didn't know Manchester had 3. Ideally I would like a manual so if anyone knows someone with one for sale let me know. I have driven the one in London. It is hard to gauge value on these. Looking at the Super Leggera the Balboni prices seem quite high. I mean, you can get an 09 SL probably for under 115k. I'll call Manchester tomorrow. Edinburgh have 2, Seven Oaks one, all e gear. A second hand one could be good.

There was an orange one in the showroom recently, think it might still be there. Black one too, although the grey one seems to have moved.Black one for £165k (600miles) Grey one for £155 (5,500)

i thought they were all manual...I think they are over-priced, they should have been the budget 2wd Manual Gallardo at the £135k that was first mentioned. 5 sitting about UK showrooms maybe tells you how wrong Lambo got it with there pricing as rumours of the car being sold out were obviously spin.
Also note that the few circuit tests i have read show it to be a good bit slower than the 4WD LP560. And i know its not all about circuit times before someone posts a snide post but i was under the impression that it would have been quicker.
