I'm about to do another service on my Anniversary now that it has an enormous 3600 or so miles on the clock! I'm thinking of fitting K&N air filters, but need to confirm fitment. The filter listed for most Countachs, including the later ones, is 33-2574. It shows earlier carb cars with panel filter, but only lists injected cars from 1985 on, obviously US market cars. Now, I suspect the filter is the same, but don't want to buy a couple and find I'm wrong, so does anyone out there know it to be the correct one?
Second question, is it a worthwhile change? I know they should be superior to the standard ones, but with such a low mileage the originals are not exactly well used.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike,

Sadly I can not confirm if KN's will fit.

However, do you have a sports exhaust fitted? if you do, and if your carbs are set up right it will defo help with air flow in to the engine.

Also, although your car has only done very very low milage (you really must use it more!!!) there is every chance they could be original filters. I would replace them (either for standard or for KN) if you don't know when they were last replaced.
Just think, you could be running 20 year old filters!!

Hope this helps

Ian
