I'm looking for another Ferrari, probably 348 or F355, and if possible would like some comfort with a warranty.

So far I've been looking at dealers, and they generally seem to have an hourly labour cap of around £40 on their products, which I think is basically useless on a car like this. Not sure if this is a 'norm'?

Does anyone know of a company that can offer warranties on these sorts of cars? Especially with decent limits?

Thanks

Please don't waste your hard earned money, I've had numerous customers fall into the same trap of buying an aftermarket warranty under the pretence should an issue occur, the warranty will cover them, in my experience this is far from it, 99% of warrantys have a way out of everything,

My advice to my customers would be to open a seperate account and deposit the money for the warranty into this account, keep it as a repair fund, should you have a problem you have some money set aside to take care of the problem, if you have a trouble free year you've gained that initial outlay instead of lining the pocket of the warranty company, at the start of year 2 deposit the same sum again, repeat this every year until you decide to sell the car, you should have a nice amount saved up which you can then spend on upgrading to the next model, holiday etc

Few years ago I paid for an aftermarket warranty on a Boxster, 3 months in something went wrong with the car and they did not pay out, said the fault existed before I purchased the warranty.

I charged back the money I paid for the warranty with my credit card company, on grounds that the product was not fit for purpose, and the repair (at a good indy) came to less than the cost of the warranty.

Won't ever use 3rd party warranties again. Either get one with the manufacturer or save your pennies incase something goes wrong, and pay yourself.

Cheers guys, good and interesting advice.

I was also thinking about saving instead as an option, but was interested to see what other policies may be available too.

I looked at it when I bought my 355 but most people just said it wasn't worth it. Warranty companies are a business after al so their aim is to make as much money as possible and therefore pay out as little as possible. As already said save your money.
