Either of the above, or Bridgestone Potenza RE050. Any of these are Ferrari recommended. However the Corsa is more of a track tyre, and hence less capable on normal (wet) roads. So depends on your driving style.

OK thanks. I ask as at end of Top Gear piece on 430, Clarkson etc were saying it's best to swap the OE Bridgestones for Pirelli as this was why 360 Stradale was as quick round their track as 430 ie it had Pirellis...versus Bridgestone on the 430. Do you think they meant Corsa or Rosso?

(Obviously I don't believe everything I hear on TG!)

I believe that the CS came with corsa as standard. So if quick lap times is your goal then corsa is the one for you. However if tracking is less of an issue then you may want to compromise for better overall road use and get Rosso.

Correct.

I've always found the Corsa System an odd looking set of tyres

I'm not sure Clarkson did Bridgestone any favours that day smile

I agree. But conversely it could be rearranged to not do the Pirellis any favours. For example, he could have driven a car on Corsas and a car on Potenzas around the isle of man in the wet, and shown the corsas all over the place.

Its just obvious that track focussed rubber is going to give quicker laptimes. But does that automatically mean they are the best tyres for the average Ferrari punter? Probably not.

No, but having a keen interest in tyres I took note of his comments, but there was no indicators he was referring to the Corsa System that I remember. On the merit of his statement (and the fact it was backed by Ben CollinsThe stig) I simply took it that Pirelli's ultra high performance summer tyre was better than Bridgestones.

You'd have to know the Ferrari line quite well (or at least better than I did at the time) to know the CS came fitted with the Corsa Systems from the factory.
