What a weekend! rotate

Had a Ferrari 360 for the weekend - so did the obvious thing - and drove it the whole length of Wales smokin

Fantastic experience to really stretch the car and feel the quality of the chassis and sense its damping working hard. The harder the car was driven, the more impressively it shone.

While the 996 was shaded for noise and drama, it did a damn fine job of keeping up and it was great swapping between the two cars - both share great, great normally aspirated engines with broad power ranges and loooooooong throttle travel meaning you could apply the power very precisely, even in tricky and damp conditions.

Here's a few pics from the trip. Could have taken pics all day long but it was cold and there were roads to drive.... driving

Massive thanks to Mike and the guys at The Classic Car Club for sorting the car for me and for not complaining when I returned it covered in filth!!

Epic fun!

Great photos, glad you enjoyed the Fezza. So which do you prefer the 911 or 360?

Nice pics. Cars look awesome! Pleased to hear you had lots of fun!

I know of the Classic Car Club London. They used to share a warehouse with ecurie25 on Old St. I used to be a member of ecurie25. I remember a fun drive I had in a Gallardo Spyder in Wales. Awesome!

All the best,

J

Both highly enjoyable. The Ferrari though was ultimately faster, noisier, more stable under braking, more palm sweat inducing and more of a spectacular event to drive overall.

By comparison the 996 - very good condition, recently serviced, new suspension set up and with sports exhaust - felt incredibly sensible alongside it!!!

The Ferrari is very much a toy for weekends whereas the Porsche offers 80% of the performance whilst being a far more attractive day to day proposition. All imho of course....

They're still in Old Street. It's a shame not to see the Ecurie cars there any more but its also a lot less chaotic in there these days as a result!!!!

Cheers, Marc
