Is this a 'must have' on a 430? If so how far should one go - front PU only? Bonnet? Wings? Whole car?!!

Thanks

Had it on a few cars with average results at best..
Painting the front end of an f430 aint too pricey anymore, I prefer to do that than put a condom on my pride & joy!

I havent got either, but then I dont get too fussed if I get stonechips. Just let them accumulate then do all at once on a repaint. Interestingly, although my front bumper is realtively peppered with chips, they havent materialised anywhere else. Which would suggest that you only really need a cover for the bumper, should you be desperate for protection.

Wouldn't putting a shield on the bumper only change the fade rate of the paint, leaving slightly different colours after a little while ?

If your car is Rosso Corsa or a straight non-metallic colour, it will be an easy job to paint and match should you wish to have the front end painted in the future. It will probably cost similar money to the film protection also but the advantage of having matching panels instead of the filmed areas looking slightly different. to the rest of the car.

No it wouldn't, it wouldn't be an issue.

My car has full Paintshield from bumper to bumper and I'm very happy with it. I had it done for two reasons:

1. I drive 150 miles on the motorway every week and pre-Paintshield I was picking up stone chips regularly - I like my car looking "as new" so didn't want any stone chips on it at all.

2. Within a month of getting the car the bumper was scratched twice and I had to have it painted twice. I knew this would happen in London but not at that frequency (and I'm very careful where I park), so I got fed up and just wrapped the whole thing.

It was somewhere around the £2.5k mark - I can't remember exact price now. Apologies for the poor iPhone pic!

I usually get a 'full frontal' covering the front bumper, bonnet, front wings and wing mirrors. I've not had a 430, but the problem areas on the 360 (apart from the front bit) were the wheel arches and lower sills; I guess it's the same on the 430.

I get mine done using Ventureshield by Nick:

I just can't be arsed getting the cars resprayed every year.
