Just gone and done it... luckily only a 5 month wait so perfect timing for summer.

First car for a long time that isn't black, went for blu mirabeau with crema leather interior
Options: 20" forged sport wheels, leather rear shelve, sat nav and various other small bits and pieces.

I'd love a Scuderia gunmetal stripe down the centre of the car?

There will be no doubt images on readers rides soon : )

Best,
D

Congrats. Quite a short wait, did you already have a good place on the list?

I dont get this statement:
"I'd love a Scuderia gunmetal stripe down the centre of the car?"

What was the question mark for? Were you asking if its possible, or if you should do it?

Thank you, I don't know the extent of the wait but I put down my deposit last summer.

Sorry, it was a question as to whether I should or not?

Thanks

Dont do it.There is something wrong about a Scud/Strad stripe on a 430/360 that is not a Scud/Strad. Its like seeing a Merc C180 with an AMG badge on the back. I also assume that the track-focused 458 stripe when it does appear wont be like the Strad or Scud anyway.

oh, and congrats on buying which for me is the most beautiful Ferrari ever released. Performance stats also look incredible.

I guess your right, bit 'try hard'!

After years of hard graft, 24/7 work shifts and many nights sleeping in the office I think it's about time I had something enjoyable to do
when I'm not enjoying work ; )

I'm in debt to my girlfriend for making up far too many of the poorest excuses for not going shopping with her over the past year lol
and saving those pennies.

The stripe issue as many supporters and opposers, but its really a personal preference. However, I would have to agree with the comment above regarding the fact that the eventual 458 stripe might be quite different.

Not that i'll ever be fortunate enough to own such an amazing machine but I'm not keen on stripes.

I reccon the only car they suit are Cobras and maybe Vipers at a pinch.

Congrats on the order ! biggrin

HTF did you manage 5 months, I put my deposit down two years ago and have been quoted summer 2011. That makes me mad! Considering I have a 997RS on order with the same dealer network too.

Which dealer are you with?

Please don't put a stripe on it. Leave that for the specials (aka Scud and CS)

Wow! You have 2 gorgeous cars arriving, Pistolp.

Out of the two, I'd take the GT3RS!

All the best.

Hi all,

Looking for a third car, budget is around £3-3.5k...can stretch to £4k if there is room to negotiate as close to £3.5k.

Don't have a specific criteria really other than has to be below 60k miles.

Any options open, not daily commuter nor weekend fun but just a medium for myself and gf.

Many thanks

D

I'm 23 and drive a Brabus Smart car (old shape), had this since I was 20.

All down to personality, each to their own..many people can or could afford something nice when they were young but choose not to.

I have friends who drive subaru's, tvr's all being between 21 and 24.

I had the ability to buy a brand new Aston Martin or similar when I was 20...thought about it long and hard and decided it wasn't for me and
ended up buying a property, sold it 3 months later for a profit and 12 properties later my career was made out of my choice to buy a
house.

Ex-girlfriend before christmas kept trying to make me buy a new car so told her to stuff it!

Im happy to admit being a tight ass and for me it's complete long term. Profit pays, depreciation doesn't!

Best,
D

Set up my business at 22, now 23 run 3 companies...interior design and property development management, main contractor services.

Reason I decided to do it was knowing family expenses etc would come sooner, the later I leave it.

Main reason was due to always seeing previous 2 companies make decisions that I felt strongly against and miss prime opportunities.
Ended up setting up and going for those 'prime opportunities' myself

Hi All,

Keen to build out onto various terraces of my property in London - just need a bit of advice as to appointee's etc.

Architect - takes a % of overall construction cost
Planning Consultant - advise and submit planning application

I think that's it? is this correct?

Many thanks,
Best
Interesting question for a property mogul to ask.

He must have had a change of heart. He posted on here just 4 weeks ago that he'd bought a Gallardo, and now a 458. I think someone might owe Pistolp an apology for winding him up with duff information.
