Ever since my car got serviced I noticed occasionally some steam coming from the vents on the engine cover, I assumed it was just condensation, had a quick look and didnt notice anything odd. Anyway, yesterday after a drive, I noticed the steam again so had a more thorough look. I notice at the back right hand side of the engine bay some liquid bubbling out of a container. I cant say for sure, but I think the liquid is blue, as when I got the car back from it's service, there was some of this liquid dried around the container. Does anyone know what liquid this contains? Is it coolant? The liquid seems to bubble out of where the cap screws on. I waited until the engine was cold and have unscrewed it, there doesnt seem to be any damage. Anyone know whats happening?

The coolant level quite often needs re-checking after a service.

Perhaps it's beenoverfilled?

Ok, so nothing to worry about then I take it, or would you recommend I remove some coolant?

Thanks for your help.

Not flammable is it? :{

Peter, have a look in the owners manual ... check the level when cold.

Flammable coolant would be fairly scary stuff! Call your servicing dealer - I'm not technical but know that when we've had cars serviced the coolant light comes on first drive. I get the Techs to check it.

Either overfilled coolant so excess being expelled when systems warm
or possible headgasket issue.

Most likely the former and should sort itself out although it will leave a mess.
Either way for a car in that class i would have you're service agent check it out.

I am not too happy about the overall service I got from the Lambo main dealer who did the work. Other things I noticed when I got the car back from them were the honeycomb panels surrounding the exhausts were loose, causing the exhaust tips to rattle, I tightened them up myself, sloppy workmanship like that leads me to wonder if other work they did that is not so noticeable was done to a good enough standard. Also, might sound petty but they also decided without asking me, to change my number plates for new ones which featured the dealers name, I found this really, really cheeky, I had only purchased the originals about a week earlier! And now this fluid leaking all over my engine. Considering I parted with about 6 grand on that visit. I will be taking the car somewhere else in future!

Yeah, some blue liquid is bubbling out and leaving a residue on that bottle with the red arrow pointing at it (handily).

In all seriousness, what the hell do they think they were playing at? If someone did that with my car I'd be asking for MY plates to be put back. I don't like driving an advertising hoarding.

No Andrew, I don't think they are new. I won't name them, but they are not 7'oaks or Reading, I think they are the only ones that don't sell new lamborghinis.
