As title states really. I went past an orange Lambo SV (big black wing on the back) on the M1 travelling southbound just after Newport Pagnell today at around 13:45.

The guy had a red top on (i think) on the phone whilst on the hard shoulder. The rear passenger side tyre was completely out (damaged) - not sure if you had a blow out or something even worse.

Anyone from here? Anyone else spot it? frown

Hi there,

Have seen pics of the car (who's owner does post on here) and there was NO damage to the car other than a flat tyre.

I will not post the pic here as its up to the owner if he wants to but I can assure you when the new tyre is fitted the car will be back to its immaculate condition.

Regards

Tim

Looked a lot more than just a flat tyre - the tyre looked like it came off (or 50% of the rubber was coming from the alloy). Looked bad, yet no crash so no idea what happened.

It’s my car – tyre just ripped
Fortunately other than a new tyre and my hypothermia from standing at the side of the M1 for an hour there was no real damage

You know at one stage there were 3 cars that pulled up and all got out with their kids to take a look at the car.
Police gave the drivers a real bking

Glad all was OK. smile

Did seem a little strange a huge bright lambo SV on the side of the M1 with a tyre sticking out.

I was going to stop and see if you needed help, but was going to fast (sorry).

Had a similar experience a couple of years ago on my Diablo. The front passenger tyre decided to delaminate on the M4.

Likewise......

Came past in a white gallardo, was going to pull up but was going a little quick to stop in time... Not sure reversing up the hard shoulder would have been the thing to do...
Wanted to start a 'how many lambos can you park up on the hard shoulder' hehe

Glad it is all sorted now, absolutely stunning car... cloud9

Not to play the role of the boring/sensible advice giver but please, if you don't need to use the hard shoulder, don't. Not only is it an offence (I doubt anyone likes a fine/points) but the hard shoulder is a refuge area for use in emergencies only. It is dangerous enough already without people unnecessarily stopping and I doubt an owner of a nice car would like your/their own safety endangered just because of what they drive.

(Lovely car, by the way!)

Very valid point LLT - not boring at all!

Glad the officer attending bked said passers by. Is a 5 minute look at a car worth one of your kids getting squashed by a sleepy HGV driver? No.

Anyway, glad it was just a tyre. I trust it lead a good, hard life wink
