£1 million pounds worth of cars and an empty runway - pics
Discussion
Hi there,
Headed over to Bruntingthorpe proving ground yesterday for VMAX Armageddon. This was my 3rd VMAX event, and easily the best yet. There was some serious metal on display with everything from a Mazda MX5 to an RUF CTR-3 taking to the runway to try and beat the current record. As it happens the record fell quite early in the day with a 9ff 996 Convertible managing 222mph.
Here are some pics of some of the more exotic cars on display.
Ford GT

Simon's LP640

A very rare and gorgeous Lamborghini Gallardo Nera

Audi R8 V10

A very well known LP670-4 SV

Another Gallardo

This was a surprise the all new Aston Martin Rapide

Super impressive 9ff GT9R

Leons stunning RUF CTR-3, my car of the day

The only Ferrari at the event was this very pretty 599

No apologies for a load of shots of the superb Mercedes SLR 722

This was a surprise, an LP640 Roadster - stunning

Finally a shot of the new record holder, a true sleeper car if ever there was one

Hope you like the pics and you can see more here: - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
