A weird thing happened to my car on 19th March.

I have a leaky radiator, and my car is serviced down in Essex but I live in Stoke.

I didn't want to risk driving that far with a faulty rad and I was talking to the boss of a firm I use in my business. He said he had a trailer and he would do it as he valued my custom. Since I've known him for about 20 odd years I thought there'd be no problem.

I was a bit surprised to get a call from the garage on Monday asking why I'd got such crappy tyres on. Bearing in mind I checked the tyre pressure before taking the car to the trailer, and they were Michelin PS 2's when they left me, and now they're a combination of Avon and some Chinese make, I was gobsmacked.

It even looks like the wheels have been changed as they are now very kerbed.

Since I trust the garage implicitly, blame for me falls on the guy who drove the trailer. He is saying it's nothing to do with him as he has no need for 3200 tyres (and maybe wheels). (Also, as he points out, he isn't a poor man)

The police won't get involved as there's too many people involved (i.e. 2!!).

So, if anybody has seen anything odd involving a rosso bologna 3200 a week last Friday or been offered wheels / tyres cheap, please PM me.

As a side note, does anybody know if PS 3's are at least as good as PS 2's as they're cheaper.

If the garage you took your car to begins with the letters GE, there's no way they would have done this. I know the owner and there's no way he would have stooped to this level.

No locking nut on my wheels! I had thought about that since.

Yes, it is GE which is why I am absolutely certain of who is to blame. I've checked Ebay and nothing obvious has been put on there since 19th March.

Yep, I've known GE for many years and this isn't the sort of thing they'd do, no doubt about it.

I'd definitely question your transport guy in more detail.

Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Did boss of haulage firm drive car down or his employee? If boss then he's not exactly minted so in fact he could do with the £££...if employee then Boss who 'values your business' should cough up!
