Just polling opinions on this situation...a close friend has been offered a Maserati 3200GT by his boss, who's looking to buy a (brand) new one. It's a 51 plate, auto with 31k miles. His boss bought it new and it's in dark met green, recently serviced etc.

The situation is this... he doesn't really need the car, but quite fancies running it for a few months. He works for a small firm, and he's effectively been offered it in lieu of a cash bonus...Anyone got an idea on what this is worth? Thanks

If its a dog with no history and poorly maintained etc about 8-10k if it is pukka with all the paperwork and red key etc about 15k. Its almost due a cambelt service at 32K so thats about £1k with fluids.
Its not in the best of colours so you have a bargaining chip. On the plus side its an auto which (generally) seem to be less trouble.

That's how I got into the whole exotic italian ownership experience. That was 7 years ago and I'm still enjoying it. thumbup

Lovely cars - relatively few of them about, and even fewer that have been properly looked after. A one owner low mileage car should be a genuine car - obviously he knows the owner! I'd say £14-16k(assuming fsh and original), and depending on when last belt service was done. Cambelt isnt too bad price wice - an extra £400 on the cost of a normal service.

Prices of these seem to be creeping up - very few under £12k now.
