Mine did that day on the way to the same place, but I was 2 miles short of getting there.

Can you guess what it was.... think back to a phonecall a few weeks ago!

Oh yes i remember mate. No doubt its down to the usual incompetents of a dealer/specialist not doing what you paid them to do rolleyes

You guessed right!

Are 308's any easier to work on at home? Just thinking about the lack of computers and sensors involved? Just been considering a change?

The 308/328s are a great car for working on at home mate. I owned a 328 and it was a breeze to work on. A little tight in places like at the bulk head were one bank of plugs are ect. The good news is the belts are done with the engine in. The engine does not ever have to come out for any of the usual.

I'm thinking about that idea now even more...

Anybody want a swap? Or anybody recommend any dealers that would be worth looking at?

If you mean a Yorkshire based specialist then I can relate to that. The one I used when I had my 355 couldnt find a simple electrical problem but kept giving me four figure bills for looking(despite being a 'specialist' they didnt have an SD2/3)

If you mean a Sheffield besed specialist then they do have the SD2/3 equipment now. Its just more the attention to detail I've problems with. The main job has been done well enough, but then I'd get the car back with things missing or not put back properly.

No the one I am talking about is not Sheffield based. They did however leave a nice. big flat bladed screwdriver in my engine compartment for me which I found after I had driven home....

Saw another red 355 broken down in Bookham this afternoon. What is it with these 355s? At least it was a sunny day and the owner didn't seem too purturbed as he waited for recovery.

A rare spot yesterday and in keeping with the title, Enzo broken down on the M25 near M4 junction, saw it on hard shoulder and later being recovered on a flat bed!
