My 360 front end needs sorting out, bumper and bonnet mainly, wings seem fine. I'm just wondering what the best product is and what I'm likely to pay for it. Obviously after a respray.

Cheers

Steve

Dont know where you are located but the chips away franchisee in Bedford quoted me a real good price to clearsheild my 360 front end and mirrors. He has a spider so this may have influenced him. Google chipsaway bedford for the number. I think the guys name is Omar. I will be getting mine done this month.

I was quoted £400 for Defendall covering the front bumper for mine. Not sure how that compares with anyone else but having spoken to a couple of friends who have the same stuff on their cars (mainly Lotuses) I am not going ahead. Seemed to be too much hit/miss in terms of the fitting.

This is what concerns me, I had a chips away bloke do some work on the front end of my car and quite frankly it was crap. Could have done better myself.

Had my GT2 done by a a company regarded as one of the best, it was still poor, dirty polish under the edges after the first wax, and yellowing within 2 weeks... My F430 has it done (prev owner) and this too shows 'dirty wax' under some edges and this was done by Ferrari, from my experience and other cars I have seen, the results after a few washes etc are far from perfect, yes it does protect paint but so does a bra.... IMHO I would sooner see a quality respray done.

Had mine done after a respray, the order was, respray, paint correction & then paint protection. Seemed to be the right order. Our members are getting free collection & delivery through our site within a 200 mile radius - http://www.supercarhub.com/Paintshield-Offer-Free-... Might be worth looking at if you're serious about Paint Protection. It's not cheap, but when you consider a front bumper respray is £400 upwards, just a few stone chips then you need to start again.

I've been across Europe 3 times since having the front protected and she still looks immaculate. Didn't want to at first as I'm a traditional Paint person, but Rosso Scuderia goes Pink after a battering!

Secondly, my friend has just bought a black 430 coupe, he's done 1,200 miles and the bumper looks like a plasterers radio! He's gonna get it protected, but imagine if he'd had just had it resprayed, within 1200 miles he'd be visiting the spray shop again!

Hi Guys

We have an 04 orange Gallardo. It was fully covered from new, shaped on the bonnet, bumper, wing mirrors and sides by Paintshield a few days after we brought it home and it still looks as good as the day it was done. All being well it will be at Brooklands at Auto Italia 1st May so come see if you are in the area.
