Looking to buy a CS - some questions
Discussion
Hi all,
I am looking to buy a CS (preferably red with stripes), and have a few questions. I have owned a 360 and 430 before so am au fait with Ferrari ownership, so the questions are CS specific.
Do the mirrors fold in so that it fits into a standard garage?
Has anyone owned both a standard 360 and CS so they can give me the main pros and cons?
Is the stripe lacquered over?
What were the main options, plastic side windows I think, but are there different options on the seat finish as well?
Many thanks

I have driven both but own a CS. The CS is sharper in short and the stopping power is the biggest step change after all the appearrnce changes
The stripe was about a £3k option at the time and is part of the paint finish (not a sticker)
Most options were actually choices at no cost for example you could have cloth OR leather, lexan windows or electric and harness of normal belts to name but a few. The main extra cost items I ecall were>
fire ext
radio/cd with speaker box
roll bar
stripe
personal message on the metal badge on the centre console but standard is 'challenge stradale'
Thats all I can remember.
I have owned a 360 spider and now have a CS.
The CS is such a sharper car to drive than the standard 360 much more of an occassion. That sound when the valves open......... fabulous
Steers,stops and goes better.
Service costs are the same unless you need brakes.
The stripe is a sticker laquered over this has had much debate on this forum before. You can buy an aftermarket stripe for £100 or so or get Alsa to paint one on for you (his work is fantastic).
Only a couple for sale at the moment so you may have to wait for a while!
Did I mention the sound
:
If you have any questions feel free to ask or PM me.

you'll do well to find one, very short on the ground as no one wants to sell.
there are a few for sale now and there have been plenty recently and plenty over the last year or soOver the summer months a few more come out onto the market it does seem to mostly be the same cars that re-appear. Think the most I have seen for sale at any one time is 7-8 apart from when we had the mass adverts at high prices in 2008

Own a 360 and now a CS - they really are worth spending the extra cash.
They are slightly slower in a straight line than a 430 but speed isn't everything
Wow! Are they really that quick? I thought the 430 (haven't driven one, but have had plenty of time in a 360) was supposed to be quicker. Have heard the 430 is mega-fast.They are slightly slower in a straight line than a 430 but speed isn't everything

Question re. the CS, are they cars you could run every couple of days in town for mundane, trafficy things? I don't mean driving them on country lanes, I mean using them enough, but not as daily drivers and not on the track open roads. A waste, I know, but just wondering if the car can handle that.

interesting the huge gulf between 355 & 360 and also the lacklustre F50 time
