I am thinking of getting a sports exhaust for my 360 spider - at the minute I am tending towards the Capristo exhaust rather than TUBI but I am not sure which stage to get 1,2 or 3. I believe you can now get a switchable Capristo exhaust that covers both stage 1 and 3.

Advice on which to choose would be appreciated

Thanks

I'm a die-hard Capristo fan, but for a 360, I'd actually say tubi...

I'll be following this topic closely - in exactly the same position, although mine is a Modena rather than Spider.

Mate has a level 1 Tubi on his Spider which sounds very good, but I am inclined to prefer the Capristo level 2 or 3, especially as mines a Modena rather than Spider .... But YouTube is nothing like hearing them side by side for real.

Then you throw Timate, Nouvalari etc into the mix and end up really confused.

I keep planning to place an ad on here and CS offering to exchange some Sparco Leather Sports Seats (made for a 360), for a stage 2/3 exhaust - my decision will be much easier as it'll depend entirely on who has what.

{ETA - Finally posted the ad in Ferrari parts section}

I have a 360 Spider with a L2 Capristo. Sounds absolutely fantastic and really screams.
Don't think you would be disappointed with either tho.

I've got a Capristo Level 1 on mine and Harsh (on here) has a Level 2 - I have to say his sounds a lot louder and more raw whereas mine sounds a little more "tuneful" but it doesn't really make the grade in a tunnel..

I have a level 2 Capristo on my 360 spider. Its a howl. Dont put a stage 3 on the spider, its too loud. The stage 2 rings my lugs after an hours drive. Talking is possible if you shout. Booms a bit below 2000 rpm, so tend to drive in a lower gear and keep the howl going. Howls more than a tubi. If you decat with Capristo your into serious FI howl and volume.

hi Al,

in terms of Capristo, as Voicey says the level 1 has a great dual tone tune to it, the level 2 is louder and the level 3 is just silly.

Tubi's have more bass to them, so it's a case of what you prefer.

As you're in London i'm happy to meet up and take you out in mine so you can listen for yourself.

If we could set up a day for everyone with a different exhaust makes and sound levels to meet and film it for You Tube, I think it'd be as popular as Susan Boyle!

Great idea...the current ones on youtube are crap!
We should also have an array of decat vs catted systems.
i'd be well up for this and so would my flamethrower (stage 3 tubi decat) biggrin
