hello. Im new to this forum.
I just wanted to show some of my artwork on here and get any feedback on it.

Ive been to lots of car shows and generally draw or paint or make a montage or a print even, using the photos.

I use photoshop to help map the position of the car on the paper. I then spend ages drawing from the photo- meticulously detailing as much as I can and then re-edit the drawings ive done to create montages.
After scanning,I age the drawings, and use various filters to then give them a different texture and look.
This is only PART of the process.
I have the patience so its all good.

the enzo pic and the 288 gto pic are montages. And a combination of hand drawings, painting, glue. There is a lot of work in these.
I made the canvases for these as I learnt how to at art school.

Montages are great to create.
Sometimes I may add text or magazine exerps relevant to the car.
This is where elements of graphic design come into play!

The Enzo montage is quite a big painting/montage.

Comments and questions always welcome
thankyou

Good work! thumbup

Are the number plates real world number plates, then? I.e. Why not just draw them without? Just a question, really smile

Probably cos that part of the image will be from the photo that was selected in photoshop when he selected the 'sketch' effect.

Really like the effects used on that 288 GTO pic.

Very nice work. You should sell them, and/or offer your services to owners who may want a portrait of their own car. I could see a market for that

Yes that was my plan. Its finding someone/market for selling them really. Well I'm in the Ferrari section but I would draw other cars to of course. not JUST Ferrari! Though as of yet, Ive only done these few to test the water.smile

Ive been to lots of car shows and generally draw or paint or make a montage or a print even, using the photos.
Using a combination of patience and some help from photoshop to get the outlines perfect, I can create some pretty good drawings using the photos.

The montage is made up of glued on copies from a photo that has been photoshopped.
I then paint the car and draw on top.
Sometimes I may add text or magazine exerps relevant to the car.

The Enzo montage is quite a big painting/montage.
There is a lot of additional sketching on here, as well as prints taken from the drawings I did from photographs, a very long-winded yet satisfying process.
