As the old aysmmetricos were discontinued/on back order for years, most people go for the Pirelli Rosso. It's considered a much better tyre. The problem is that the earlier 17" front size isn't available and most people go for 245/40/17. I had these on my SV and with 2WD there is no issue. Those that have had them on their VT (potential tiny gearing change) claim that it drives better and I know that Mike Pullen recommends them. They are pricey though.

I was told some time ago that Pirelli were re-making the asymmetrico, and I have seen dealers advertising them on their websites, but not in the 35 profile. They are cheaper than the Rosso however.

I have sourced some before via ebay. Worth trying especially the German ebay site.

I've only used Pirelli just to keep things looking original, sad I know, so I can't recommend other brands. Would be worth asking Mike Pullen though.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

it's worth calling Pirelli UK direct to check stock levels as tyre dealers will usually source from them

just check the date on the tyre, you dont want to buy tyres that have had a long shelf life.

I've got Michelin's on mine - they work pretty well.... road handling seems superb!!

I would have no concerns replacing them for another set of Mich's!

Hope this helps
