Cleaning the ferrari 360 engine bay

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question...What do you use to clean your ferrari 360 Red engine cover thingy? Mine is starting to go a bit black. Also what kind of paint is used for a touch up?

Never had to clean this but I would think "Gunk" or an engine degreaser would do the job fine. Another tip, try applying petrol with a stiff paint brush then remove with a cloth. Buff with another cloth to leave gleaming. If its gone too far then Verdi in Hayes offer a re painting service for a fee.

I use APC diluted 10:1 sprayed on with a normal trigger spay. I agitate it with a soft detailing brush then rinse off with water and one of these:



The pump sprayer allows me to get the water where I want it without wetting electrical connections and it's so low pressure that it wont find its way anywhere it shouldn't.

Once it's dried I use Armour All on the black bits.
