348 Spider potential purchase question

I just don't seem to see any car that I want... the basics are it has to be in resale red (the lady wants it thus!), and a spider.

And that's it.... but I just can't find or see any. Does anyone know of any hiding?

Hi, I bought a resale red/crema 348 spider a few months back. This was my second 348 (the first a 1992 TS). Really enjoying the car, so back to basics and thoroughly rewarding to drive.

Hope the search goes well.

Yeah, I know.... is it just me, or does the first one put you off with the quality of the pictures? (Cue the owner coming on here and telling me off / sealing the sale!) We'd also prefer a dealership sale, rather than private.

As for the rest.... we both want it (phnar), but she wants the red. She even wasn't swayed when I showed her the black would be better to accessorise to!

What are the numbers? 61 or 62 spiders in the UK? I wonder how many of them are red. I know of two that have been wrote completely of so that makes 60.
Just because the pictures are bad is it not worth a phone call for better pictures? Make the effort to do that i say.

I am afraid the seat will just not support that kind of weight

you will be a tight fit with the roof on unless you get some carbon seats in, just make sure you get some large ones( they come in small medium and large)

I'm 6ft2 and 13st. I have added a small MOMO wheel and a Hills 50mm spacer. Driving position is near perfect.

Interesting.... (BTW, asked for extra high-res pictures of the one in the classifieds, and got the same pictures. Oh well...)

You really should have a look at Steves blue 348 spider mate (above) He has a classic car restoration business, and is a long time 348GTS owner to. The blue project 348 spider he is talking about,is currently having a complete restoration (paint, suspension and engine). I have personaly known the northern monkey for a couple of decades now, so know the car will be second to none Should be one of the best in the UK
