Guys, I would like to take the Lambo on track at some point but with it registering on the sound meter at 128db at close to 4000rpm there is not a lot of chance

Can I get some sort of silencer made up that wont restrict performance that I can stick in the twin pipes that would lower it down to around 100db

dont care how ugly it looks as it will only be for track use

Some tracks offer a couple days a year without a noise limit.

Hope that helps

There was someone not so long ago whos superleggera was too loud for trackday at Snetterton i think... Seems to be a problem for track focused cars now frown

Dont know what car you've got, but these do work, as does stuffing the exhaust with wire wool.........but that tends to shoot out as soon as your out on track!

Hmmmm...so your gonna go the track now Karl. No matter about the noise - you should be concerned about how many cars are gonna get stuck behind you;)

Hope your both well - not seeen you much recently. text me your mbl no again as I lost all my contacts when my laptop was stolen in Feb.

Yep all my/our Lambo's have silencers fitted inc Murcie, LP640 & all the Gallardo's. Most are screw in silencers or clamp on and are butt ugly as they extend around 6/12'' from the exhausts but they do bring the noise levels down to track limits 95/96db. Beware you will lose a little power from the top end too..
The guy to speak to is Dave at AA silencers of Stafford. Tell him you want silencers the same as 6th Gear have, he'll know what you need.
