Allegedly did it on purpose to get the insurance money. Not sure what came of it.

I posted a picture a while ago of it in a scrap yard. I dont know how american scrapage works but in the UK normally flood damage of that magnitude will give it a cat B so unless insures release the car it will go straight to the scrapper.

There was a Aston DB9 recently at Trents that went into the drink and because it could carry contamination and since direct line wouldn't release the veichle it had to be crushed. It was in perfect condition bar the obvious.

Don't all the electrics corrode away causing a multitude of faults that would be a nightmare to fix?

Wasn't there also a member on here recently who either had, or who's family had a Range Rover that got stuck on a beach?

Taking a range rover onto a section of beach where it can get stuck is 100% driver error laugh

Yeah, and even if it is fixed it'll have gremlins along the line when things start properly corroding.

Bit of PH license added for effect here. He was about 19 in a 7-8 year old Range Rover on which he was insured. His brother said it had done 150k+ and was probably worth about 10k and the son was insured on a fleet policy with a really big excess so wasn't worth claiming.

So yeah, it was a rich spoilt brat of a 17 year old who nicked it the week before his test and then got involved in an illegal night race on the beach;)

Family car, fully insured, increase in premium on their other cars exceeded value of RR over 2-3 years, replacement car had already been ordered wink
