360 door handle doesn't work.

The door on my 360 cant be opened from the outside. Its a spider and I never drive top up anyhow so just reach in and bingo. However, now I need an MOT which requires door to open from outside and the dealer wants 3300 quid, which is probably about right but does any one know if i can do it myself or know someone who will do it for me, I beleive it is quite a common problem?

Door cables seize after a while on 360's, the cable used to cost around £30, but Ferrari in their wisdom insist on a door lock mechanism and cable together now costing around £130. fitting is easy (1 hour). what exactly are you being quoted for?

I am being quted for supplying and fitting the door lock mechanism so £300 is about right. Realistically, I wouldnt attempt it myself so wanted to know if there was a common fix or otherwise?
