360 Sports Exhaust Wanted
Discussion
Looking for a previously enjoyed Tubi, Capristo or something similar for a 360 Modena. Level 2-3 or equivalent.
There is a Tubi NGT available - but from what I've heard/been told it's just too loud (ASBO loud) and the Level 2 on ebay is perfect other than it has Spider on the can and my car is a modena. Only found 1 clip of an ngt on youtube, so guess there's not many on the road.
I check various places daily, but if anyone hears or knows of one going in good condition, I'd be grateful if you could let me know.
Thanks, Paul

Those are the two I meant. I have one on my spider, but it doesn't say spider on it! Same shape box though it just says 360. I have it polished to within an inch of its life and it sounds incredible to my mind. The other ebay one looks a bit odd but it says its a tubi. You should get a decent amount for yours if you change, around £200 which makes it abit less painful.
Have you considered Larini?

Contacted AutoItalia - they called within 5 mins of my note - very helpful and sending me some sound clips etc of their systems.
Re Nouvalari, heard some really good stuff and some not so good stuff (as with all things discussed on here) .... only way to tell is to listen to the system on a car and see for myself. So I'm going to have a listen to a PH members car who contacted me on here - he's just had a Nouvalari Super Sports fitted - will see what I think then contact John.
Also heard a Remus on a 360 last week ... sounded very good too.
Decisions ... decisions!
Anyway, thanks for the help guys.

get the optional racing exhaust from ferrari for the car. its the best sounding one available by a long long way. it comes as standard on the CS but is a genuine 360 option and available from your dealer.
its not cheap but its right for the car and nothing else comes close. it seriously puts the 360 up there with the best sounding ferraris.
tubi is boomy hence the reason its big in the US, it adds muscle car tones. the others sound artificial whenever i hear them but the factory one just lets the engine rip

wow that was constructive. IMHO every tubi ive heard was boomy compared to anything ferrari actually use. it adds a thicker tone to the bottom of the sound which gives it a big displacement engine feel i always thought. if this is what you want from a high revving v8 without displacement then great. for my money this isnt the natural sound of the engine and its certainly not what comes out when its running out of fully open pipes
ive just spent three years in the US and tubi is massive there on 360s with capristo following behind. The love for tubi was, mainly from what i could gather, because the sound was more in line with what expectations were for a sports car there. not every owner falls into this category but it was very much a common thread when discussed. ive heard plenty and never liked one. when comparing it to the ferrari race exhaust it shows up even more. the tone is just wrong.
the standard system really does dampen the 360 experience but im not convinced that going tubi is the best option to address this. others obviously do. its a subjective area
this is my experience and opinion. each to their own though. my post was just to tell the OP to consider the factory option if he wanted his ferrari to sound better than the surprisingly quiet standard system. go and listen to a stradale then decide if tubi is still what you want.
got a 360 with a tubi do we?

Thanks for the input guys.
Everyones opinion is different ... Which is exactly why these forums for people who love cars are so popular.
As much as the Ferrari Race exhaust option would be great, the cost is unjustifiable to me.
My Mrs wasn't that chuft when I bought a 360 rather than putting the money towards a long overdue wedding ... But a chap has to get his priorities right hey!
I am learning more with every reply/opinion, which is really useful.
The most ideal way would be to attend a meet and see/hear a few cars with different exhausts on.
I am getting the impression that whatever I go for, it'll be a massive improvement on the original.
Thanks chaps!

Oh well.. I will add my tuppence.
First thing I did with my 360 Spider was get a L2 Capristo. I had heard a few different makes and wanted something that screamed. I was talked out of a L3 by Karl Verdi since it was for a Spider. In retrospect he was probably right, however I have a set of Sports Cats from Nouvalari being fitted this w/e to add to the "experience".
A friend recently had the Nouvalari exhaust fitted to his 360 Spider. The transformation from standard is staggering. If you hear the Capristo and Nouvalari back to back then I imagine most folk would agree that the Cappy sounds "better" but the price difference is fairly big too. I guess you pays your money... etc.

... and the rest. I seriously don't agree with the 'boomy' statement though and I'm sure anyone that has heard mine would agree. Tubis are boomy for the first 1000 miles or so. But - I've put over 50,000 miles on mine - its certainly is NOT boomy now.. and it still looks brand new. Its an awesome piece of kit for a fez.Ask anyone on here.. mine is not 'boomy'

bebs,
well im glad you are happy with yours, which at the end of the day is all that matters really. i still am not convinced by tubi but all that means is that i dont need to put one on mine. each to their own. it would be a very boring place if we all went the same path.
to the OP, theres a used 360CS exhaust up for sale on clubscuderia for £2k if you fancy investigating this option. dont know any details but just passing it on.
