Have managed to pick up a couple of light stone chips and a small curbing on one of my alloys, nothing serious but as I like to keep my car prestine I will get it sorted. While arranging this I was considering a colour change, either of the whole rim or just the split piece or something else.... What do you all think?

I really like the anthracite colour I already have against the orange, but sometimes wonder if there is anything better I could have done, if I was to get the wheels refurbed anyway?

have seen some cars in classifieds with a colour coded outside rim on the callisto's but jury is out on if this looks any good? Any ideas/thoughts are welcomed?!

Personally for me the two colour alloys detracts from the real beauty which is the car, I have kept mine the original silver although if i were to chance it would be to the colour you have, Nice pics by the way did you take yourself

Yes I am 99% sure I want to keep them exactly as they are, just wanted to see if there were any other ideas floating around before I get booked in.

Pictures are from another PHer in my area who was kind enough to offer to do a photo shoot of my car, I haven't picked up the pictures yet (he did hundreds in various settings) but will post a thread when I have them all.

I have exactly the same wheels and same colour on mine.
And like you have picked up some very small scuffs...
Personally I'm going to keep mine all the same colour as they are now.
Let me know if you find anyone as I haven't managed to find anyone I trust as yet!

I think current colour also suits the car perfectly. If it were my car, I would keep exactly as is smile

Well www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk (Herts) and www.lepsons.com (Kent) are the two which get glowing recommendations on the forums it seems.

I have touched up my slight curbing with some paint I got matched to the wheel colour by Lambo Wycombe, may live with it for a little while and then get mine done at Wheelrefurbishing.co.uk as they are only along the road from me.

I have noticed that this colour of wheel does get very little stone chips on it occasionally, so will wait until I have got a few more and then get all 4 wheels done again smile

Thanks for comments.

lepsons in swindon I've looked at myself too strangely enough.

Are these wheels 2 or 3 piece do you know as not many people like the trouble of doing 3 piece wheels.

Not 100% sure but they look like 2 pieces to me. A quick google does not help confirm this.

They are 2 piece , lepsons in gillingham (next door to my workshop) refurbish the 2 piece gallardo wheels all the time , not sure about the lepson in swindon thou .

The only time they dont refurbed that style of wheel is when they are too far gone with regards to being out of shape from hitting pot holes etc .

Lepsons never get involved with 3 piece wheels , but very few cars have 3 piece wheels .

For the OP i would either stay with same colour or go high gloss black which i my eyes look slightly better and make a nice change to your car , the only down fall is gloss black is very hard to clean and remove the abrasive brake dust without marking the high gloss finish and will need more gentle aftercare .

thanks for the info Kelly..... seems Gillingham has a bigger workshop to hold the cars as well if leaving it there....

Chris the Gillingham branch have a dedicated unit just for storing vehicles while the wheels are being refurbished they can hold up to 10 cars per week and only storing of cars happens in this unit (no over spray issues etc) , but nearly all of their work comes from large trade companies as they process around 800 wheels per week .

there also is a total of 6 units at lepsons Gillingham for the refurb process , I only know about the swindow branch from what the staff and owner tells me (never visited the site) , lepsons is planning on opening another large site to cover more of the country too in the future wink

I send between 2 - 4 sets of wheels per week over to lepsons (Gillingham) refurb / colour change for my own customers cars while in for paint correction and detail packages and they have never let me down in years of dealing with them thumbup
