In 4 weeks time, I'm off on a month long road trip round Europe in the 355

I've done several trips like this before, but in regular cars that are considered less, erm, "temperamental" :wink3: Obviously the main issue is that I don't want to break down/get stuck somewhere with limited/no garage support. So, I'm looking for advice (specifically related to keeping the car going mechanically, not the legal aspects) for what things I should take with me that might allow DIY repair etc, any other top tips, things I should look out for. I'm not a complete numpty with a bit of DIY, but equally I'm not an amateur mechanic

I was thinking about getting an Indy to give the car a quick once over (say an hour's inspection/labour) before going to see if there's anything obvious that may cause a problem over the 2.5k miles or so that I'll be doing, worth it you think?

Thoughts appreciated.

Mario

No reason to treat it any differently to any other car, check the fluids and tyre pressures and for peace of mind have some breakdown insurance.

just make sure you've got AA euro cover. Then make sure you've got all the necessary gear to remove a wheel in case of a puncture, fuses, large bottle of water in case of any radiator issue, oil and whatever Ferrari Spider says.

First year abroad I had my 348 checked over, then each year I typically try and time my service just before I go. I'm away in 3 weeks and no doubt will visit a dealer just to make sure the cars purring
