As some of you know I sold my beloved 993TT S spec 10days ago, and received my new toy thursday: 360modena daytona black/magnolia manual.

I do regret selling the 993TT but couldn't justify keeping 2toys in Central London (and it sold well)...but I do regret

Anyways, moving on, I drove to Oxford this morning (first blast really): steering not as good as porsche at high speed, not as sharp, acceleration intoxicating (has got to do w/ exhaust screaming smile because not as quick as 993TT and u don't get the kick in the back), noisier and definitely not as comfortable as 993TT at 80mph but it's a fun car...clearly I must be sadomasochist!

The power delivery will be quite different in these 2 cars, although how much power they put out is not too dissimilar.

If you can change gear properly and smoothly, keeping the 360 in the powerband, it should not feel slower than the twin-turbo Porsche.

You will never get the instant low-down response in the Ferrari that the turbos offer in the Porsche. There is no torque down there.

Just keep the Ferrari engine spinning above 6000rpm - the Porsche has NOTHING to offer in the higher rev ranges.

Coming from a GT3 previously I thought intially my 360 felt a little lethargic, however now I've got to know the car I'm more impressed with it the more I drive it. I really did think it was nowhere near a quick cross country as my GT3 but now I'm not so sure.
I don't think it will ever be a quick as the Turbo but for me at least it's not about straight line grunt, a Ferrari feels oh so much more special in many ways (note I didn't say better).
Enjoy your Fezza your a lucky man!.

Sone: Thx...i fully agree with you

my only concern is the long trips i will do with it (as i use to with my 993TT S spec) i.e. it is quite loud even when cruising at 80mph on UK roads - i kind of wish the highways were private/toll here as in France, it would make long trips a much nicer experience.

Went back and forth to Oxford today: i'm knackered from the noise - but yeah it's a fun car to drive

I have the std exhaust on my car with the valve modification done. Many say that the std exhaust is too quite but to be honest I think it's fine. Having just done a thousand mile trip to Le Mans and back I can say it was a treat. Car never missed a beat and myself and passenger came back without a single thought of discomfort.

The discomfort would've come about had we missed the Ferry on the way back laugh

Wind down your windows and try 120 tunnels from Cannes to Bologna in a day...you'll love your 360 even more!
I've got a decatted tubi and 3000 miles across Europe was looovely.
