Do what I didn't do. Get it inspected, costs about £250, but could save you thousands. I got ripped off by a dealer, and lost thousands because I didn't get my 4200 checked over independently.

Apart from that, the car seems very cheap. Be wary.

I'd agree with that. The price of cars are heavily impacted by the milage and that seems to be very well priced for a one owner car with sensibe miles. Could just be a bargain, but I'd want to check it out very carefully for piece of mind!

Many thanks for the advice one and all, I will go and visit them at the weekend. There are some very keenly priced vehicles at this dealer I hope it's all kosher. scratchchin

As a comparison there is this one here that I thought was also good value - even so it is around £1,000 more than the one you list and two years older.

Will be interested in your findings.

4200s are intoxicating, so make sure you try a couple before you make your final choice. The later cars (2003 onwards, and identified by a slightly different interior and V8 badges on the front wings) are noticeably better than the early ones. They have a more rigid chassis structure, suspension tweaks and the Cambiocorsa box was reprogrammed for better shifts.

I do agree that 4200s are silly cheap though. Look at what you get for your money! Amazing, and so rare compared to the usual Jag XKR /Porsche / Merc offerings

I really need to get around to selling mine frown
But my heart isn't in it, even though I've relocated abroad and it's just sat in my UK garage.

Or do I stump up the HK import duty......
