Guys

Just came back from Nurburgring and Spa - the SV was awesome.

Couple of things - Not that we were timing or nything - but the SV did 2:42 around spa - some 30 seconds quicker than I could manage in my 997 GT3RS. It was simply staggering.

Suffice to say the car was an insect magnet on the way there and back - so I dropped the car off with Lee from Extreme Detailing, who had it for 4 days - and it looks better than new! I kid you not - this guy is a genius - and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Links to the detailing below:

Thanks Lee.

Nice work... But your detailer should get a lesson in geography... Spa-Francorchamps is in Belgium, not Holland... biggrin

Too bad I didn't know you were going, would have been nice to meet up. I was at Spa over the weekend for the Summer Classic.

2:42 is insanely fast!

Well give it a few more miles and it'll be a bit leggy.

How is your car in such good state - my front and especially the splitter is covered in stone chips?

Hi, Lee here from Extreme Detailing. Appologies for my geography, it's not one of my best.

The front of Anjums car has ventureshield on it so most of the stone chips will be avoided. Unfortunately it absorbs bugs and is fussy about what you can use on it. Six and half a dozen really. I had an S2000 the same colour as Anjums Lambo and I had Ventureshield installed, it saved me a lot of grief but was horrid for detailing. One point about Anjums install is that the Ventureshield has been applied perfectly. Great to see something having been done properly.

Anjum ... out of my own personal curiousity do you remember how fast were you taking Eau Rouge in the SV and do you remember how fast you got on the straight after Eau Rouge at the 200 board sign ?

No idea - the car had just come back from Nurburgring and Spa - and was allegedly maxed out on the way there.......

This was the 6 track day - and I have to say - blew me away totally - as I am beginning to get my head around it....

At Spa - managed 2:42 - which aced the 3:09 I managed in the GT3RS. To that in context the fastest car was a Chevy Corvette - which was leading it's class in Le Mans - which managed 2:33 - and trust me - I'm no Valentino.....

I have some great shots from the Track Day - which I will post up.

Sadly - the car is likely to go very soon - to make way for..........

Sorry - didn't read this post.

At the start of the day

ER bottom - 85-90, ER/Kemmel - 100/110, Kemmel Straight 200M - 160/165

At the end of the day

ER bottom - 110/120, ER/Kemmel - 125/135, Kemmel Straight 200M - 180/195

The trick was to be in the right gear (3rd) - going up into Kemmel.

But the car was absolutley devestating going into and around Blanchemonte 1 and 2 - absolutley terrifying!

I used the Trackday guys to change the brake fluid - as after (in fact during) Nurburgring the brake pedal got log - despite Lambo London having "fixed" this previously. In fact - the brakes were far better when this was performed by the trackday guys rather that Lambo London - so this has been noted for the next track day.

Point to note - TRAXX - the SV does not come with the special adapter to take the wheels off........Make sure you tell Lambo London to get you one. I ended up having ask the trackday guys change the brake fluid with the wheels on - so thanks very much to them - and Lee the detailer. They must be contortionists.......
