Brian Johnson F458

Listening to Brian Johnson and Chris Evans this morning on R2. Got on like a house on fire, particularly about cars.
Brian said he'd been into a Park Lane dealer to buy the white 458 there and then and ended up being told he could expect delivery in July 2012!
Chris mentioned that he could help him get round that delay and I was just curious as to what he meant. Did he mean pointing Brian at one of the big supercar middlemen (Romans etc) or does he have good links with the factory and could help him get moved up the list for a newly specced one?
I hope Brian gets one soon anyway - he comes across as a proper good lad who's well into his cars.

If he was so into his cars he would have his arse into gear and had an order in 3 or 4 years ago like me. Why should he get one before everyone else just because of who he is? Thats ridiculous. Celebrity is meaningless in my opinion, mind you he is at least talented.....
Evans probably can help him, I owuld imagine he has some good contacts at Ferrari, both over here and maybe even in Italy. I would also imagine Ferrari are only too happy to supply a car, with a bit more haste than usual, to a rock star! Personally, I think he should wait or pay a premium. I am sure by the time his car arrives, if he does to decide to wait, he'll realize he doesn't want one that badly anyway

I listed to the interview and I am pretty sure that Brian Johnson was telling the story that he was on tour in the USA at the time and that when ACDC finished the tour he went with his wife to a Ferrari dealer in the USA where he saw the White 458. He went up to the salesman and 'told him to drop the attitude', pulled out his black card (posh American Express I suppose) and paid for the car there and then. He asked the salesman when he could take delivery of the car to which the salesman replied July .....July 2012.
Not sure where the Park Lane part comes into it though.

I listed to the interview and I am pretty sure that Brian Johnson was telling the story that he was on tour in the USA at the time and that when ACDC finished the tour he went with his wife to a Ferrari dealer in the USA where he saw the White 458.
