Well tonight's review did not disappoint me at all. Great cinematography, well put together and very entertaining in classic TG fashion. I was very impressed by the acceleration compared to the F430, it slaughtered it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rF_kOBdvZIhttp://www.streetfire.net/video/top-gear-season-15...
Anyway, i thought it was a good un, certainly better than the 5th gear eposode and the EVO one IMO. I wonder what the slater's thought......anyone?

I cant denigh the thing is very quick and dynamically it looks wonderful but the looks still leave me cold. It just appears confused from a design point of view. Just my two pence worth

Denigh? Ah ha, a non-too subtle critique of the over-engineered steering wheel perhaps?

Agree about the looks though. It will divide opinion definitely; not effortlessly beautiful like a 355 perhaps, but it's certainly a good looking car.

Thought the review was as good as TG gets.

I love the way it looks and sounds, but there's something missing about it. It's almost too antiseptic, almost sterile in its mannerisms at certain times? It's almost too easy to drive, it seems.

That said, it's hard to truly slate a car that I haven't driven and will never own lol.

my only criticism applies to all tg reviews, namely 'lets see how it drives' translating to how well it powerslides out of a corner.

Slightly OT but what was the sad music played at the end of the Brit sports car bit. It was from a film?

Cheers.

Agreed, they always do that. Reminds me of when Tiff Neddel tests cars for 5th gear.

I thought it was interesting... I mean he started off by slating the indicators etc but how often will you be at full lock and then need to indicate?!! Shame they don't do a proper road test these days off the track and see how it performs in the real world. The performance however is bloomin' impressive!!

Possibly a Radiohead track from the In Rainbows album.

I don't like the looks of the car too much, but my OH thinks it's really great. She normally does not like the looks of most Ferraris or Lambos.

+1

For some reason when Clarkson started talking about "how it drives in the real world" I thought he was going to take it on the public road and talk about its practicality, how well it handled built up traffic, etc. Little did I know the real World was powersliding around every corner on the track. smile

I liked the review, loved the car, but the pedant in me found it slightly irritating how Jezza seemingly talks about every single car that he likes as "the best thing in the World". They can't all be the best by definition, so how good is it relative to its competition Jez?

(minor gripe though)

Mate. You have every right to slate a car you may not ever drive and having now driven it, interestingly enough, your observations are spot on IMO. In spite of that, I think it's the best looking Ferrari since the F355. The spider will be £210K with a decent spec, maybe more. Worth it for looks alone I reckon. TG review was load of gushing crap.

I would never listen to what Clarkson has to say about a car. He is paid to talk crap and IMO did not at all review the car. If i want a proper road test review I would pick up a copy of EVO. TG is good for entertainment, but I would not believe/rate their so called tests/reviews especially with JC driving.

I thought the review made good watching. They should really have used a 430 Scud.

What I do hate is that JC always slates the previous incarnation of any car when its replaced.

Thats something I've noticed with the press and Ferraris. And it seems to happene evry time, and for many years: when the new car is launched, its perfect. Cant be beaten. The ultimate....

...and then it gets replaced, and the press say "the last one didnt do this, that and the other very well, but with the new Ferrari it can do....."

Very strange

Gorgeous car and I enjoyed the power sliding a roaring engin, no I mean "review".

I would have thought though that if you were serrious about wanting a review you would arrange a test drive for yourself as surely that is the only way to actually find out what it is like.

You wouldn't need to be on lock to have the wheel upside down?
