Anyone know the car? Is it an ex-hire car

Cant believe the repair cost 95k?

Worse thing it will be unrecorded on the HPI register!

I know it's nuts, but bear in mind that a front bumper is something insane like £11k and a wing mirror is over £1k. It soon adds up!

£90k my foot. Change from a oner. Saturday afternoon and you could mix yourself up a whole new Lambo.

on the face of it, it looks more like 20Ks damage, but the worry is the picture appears to show damage to the engine bay.

Wasnt this the car that crashed near guilford a couple of weeks ago?

I think that this is more than £6000 worth of damage, as the article states. I didn't think he would have such a car, it was rented. Not that he couldn't afford one!

This. There could be structural damage. I wouldn't want to be the person that pays for a chassis repair on a Murcielago.

Guess that means it's not an insurance write off then. Otherwise it would be a Cat D....
Seems odd then...

Definitely an insurance write off as they have paid out on it.

The insurance companies are increasingly choosing not to record the status of the vehicles in the knowledge that they will receive a higher value at sale time.

Having said that you see some other cars with minimal damage and they place them as a CAT C

Are they not obligated to?
