Has anyone replaced an ABS sensor on a Gallardo?

Not sure which sensor has gone but I have ABS, Traction, & Spoiler lights on the dash, and the speedo doesnt work.

If so is there an Audi part that can be used, or are they lambo / Eurospares only?

Are they easy to change? Have heard something about having to get it "coded in" which I obviously cant do...

It may be a loose connection as the lights turned off for a while after going over a large pothole yesterday, but then came back on after about 30mins.....?!

Any help whatsoever would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi matey,
Sounds like a loose connection, see if you can fiddle with any wires under dash.
If you take off the long panel (shelf) behind the seats there are lots off electrical bits.
I would say def get a code reader ,loads on ebay and it might guide you to the problem.
I dont think its an abs sensor, cos of unrelated warning icons.
hope you get it sorted, cheers.

Hey hi there.
Good info here, read the whole post though, info on code readers.

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... Warning light on Gallardo

I just got a c/reader ,its a bit more complicated than a basic one.
You have to use a laptop, but it has a lot of features like virtual dash, like you can add gauges
of what ever you want to monitor.
Then data log and record the info.
A good bit of kit,and did do the basics first time i connected it too the car,it showed
3 trouble codes that were stored from the past.
Cheers, and go spend some money on ebay.biggrin
