This is the first time I've experienced such a car. Never been a supercar or anything like that. My mind is blown. Honestly, flat out in first and in second, it actually felt unreal. I was being squashed back into the seat. Better than any rollercoaster I've ever been on.

I'm sure loads of you have been in more powerful cars and experienced a lot more speed, but my legs are still shaking. Pointless thread, but I just wanted to tell everyone!

Good for you brother smile Indeed a very important day for you today. Now you will always hanker for one and life may never be the same again until the itch is scratched biggrin

I know what you mean - been out in a Gallardo and had exactly the same feeling as you. Felt stupendously quick but the thing that really got me were the brakes, I felt like my internals just kept going when we hit the anchors.

Lucky boy. I've never been in a moving Ferrari.

But hopefully one day I will own one.

I remember my first ride in a Ferrari, my mates dad bought a 348 and I've never forgotten the noise/smell/feeling I got when I was out in it. I vowed then to one day own one!

Had a similar experience the first time I drove a Maserati 4200 CC coming out of my S2000. Planted my foot from a slowish rolling start and was nearly peeing myself with glee a few secs later as I banged it into 4th from the redline in 3rd.

My first time in a Ferrari was when I drove my 430 off the forecourt. Fun experience all round!

Awesome. I know how you feel smile

I was friends with the manager at Dick Lovett Ferrari in Swindon and he took me out in an F430 last year and it has stayed with me ever since. The noise, feeling and also the way people look at you.

Been out in a few things since like a Granturismo S and an old twin-turbo Quattroporte but that 430 was SCARY fast! biggrin

Had the pleasure of driving a 430 Spider through the Gorge du Verdon earlier in the summer. Stunningly good car.

If it had more luggage space it would make a great Euro tour car.

I did 3000 miles round Europe back in may, you just need to refine your packing technique and there's plenty of room smile

Indeed; how much stuff do you need! I always found the F430 luggage space to be comparatively enormous compared to any competitor.

When I get them on my computer, I'll post a pic of everything my gf and I took in the 355 this summer...was quite impressive! Was quite fun causing a stir when we pulled up at campsites smile

Compared to a Range rover the boot in a F430 is tiny, but compared to other supercars like a Gallardo 911 Turbo etc it's pretty good to be honest. Saying that I've never had many shopping bags in i9t, I've always been too busy driving biggrin

Dont get me wrong its not too bad and I've done week long trips in cars like Elises which has a comparable amount of room and you can squeeze a lot in.

It would just be handy to have a bit more space especially if there was 2 of you.

A ride in an F40 was my first many years ago, truly amazing! Although I managed to get a ride in a Veyron last week for a good couple of hours. Showed me how much supercars have moved on. Mind blowing.
