Does anyone know what the noise level is for a 458 at track days, would it be a problem for 98 db? I imagine so, what about 105 db? Hopefully someone knows....

I would be surprised if it would get past a 98db limit but 105db should be no problem ( I see Evo lapped at Bedford in 458 so guess it is fairly quiet!).
Last time out at Snett they made me use 'race' to test the noise with the valves open on my CS (they have wised up to the fact that the valves open later in normal mode. Was 105db day I got passed with 104.7dbhehe

My gut feeling based on other recent Ferraris is that you don't stand a chance with the standard exhaust - even at 105dB let alone 98dB.

I've also heard that ALL 458's either CRASH or BURN to the ground within 3 months, so don't think i'll be getting one any time soon.

A Dino 246 on the other hand would be fine, and significantly classier :-)

iirc at Bedford they have 1 afternoon a month with no limit and thats when EVO use the track

btw the 458 is loud but I dont think its as loud as a Scuderia or CS - just remember to keep it in wet mode for the noise test

Doesn't matter what mode its on for the test if you trip the meters throughout the day! You'll get black flagged in the end
Am astonished the CS wasn't louder than that, but pleased! I heard it was 112db, explains the lack of them at track days around the UK. Mind you, I have heard that Snett has accomodated a few of them. The noise must be less than I first thought. To think we tried to get one on Croft a few years back.....I commend the organisers for not laughing in our faces.
Yes, I have heard the Dino is a fine sounding machine and certainly not a problem on track days - assuming you don't mind being overtaken by the recovery truck...! Who cares when they look like that though

Jay, hello to you sir. Well done the other day, another great success!
